hi, why did you choose to join star search at first? how do you find acting in little nyonya? which requires you to go malaysia? what do you like to do when you are free? who is your best friends in mdc? who do you think is like a teacher to you in acting and why? goh - posted by goh on 12/5/2008 9:15:44 PM Andie: Hi Goh! That's a lot of questions! I remember watching the earlier batches of Star Search contestants singing 'Wo Fei De Zui Gao Zui Yuan' and I had no doubt in my mind that I will one day be on the same stage. So when the Star Search 07 was auditioning, I jumped on it! Acting in Little Nyonya has been a fruitful experience, if you realized, all my co-actors are veterans with at least 6 years of experience, and it's only my first year in the industry. I could see the level of professionalism and talent around and I knew I had to match up, and in the process of doing so, I've learnt and experienced so much. Ge Ping Lao Shi is my mentor during Star Search and I will always regard him as my teacher. When I'm free, I exercise! Swimming, basket ball and dancing are my regular activities! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello Andie! If you have a chance of becoming a movie director, what type of movie will you make and who will be the casts? - posted by Jane on 12/8/2008 12:11:21 AM Andie: Hi Jane! I think you probably know that I graduated from a film school. I have actually directed a few independent short films. My proudest work being my $16000 budget, graduation film - "Aik Khoon". It has travelled overseas and well as competed in local film festival. I'll love to air it, if there is ever a chance! As for my dream film to direct, it would definitely be a Zombie Flick! I would cast the exact same cast of Little Nyonya! Imagine Yueniang running away from a horde of Huang Family Zombies! Ha ha! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hey koh koh Andie! 1) Is it hard to be a star? 2)Do you like People outside to notice you and why? 30 Do Stars like you happen to have blogs or facebook or friendster and why? okay! hope you can answer my Questions! - posted by Sylvia on 12/29/2008 2:25:57 PM Andie: Hi Sylvia mei mei, I am hardly a star! I've gotten a little more use to people noticing me on the street and I wouldn't say I like it but I've accepted it as a "by-product" of being a TV actor. And yes I do have a blog and my fan club just started a Face book group for me! I hope to see you joining it! Please click to enter the Blog and Face book ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You played a baddie in Little Nyonya. Do you prefer playing a good character or a evil one? - posted by Janice on 12/10/2008 8:11:02 PM Andie: Well Janice, I don't prefer to play either! I love to play in betweens! An example is Liu Yi Dao in The Little Nyonya. Humans don't come in black and white, we are all grey. When I can portray the different shades in our character and force the audience to think, that when I enjoy myself the most. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ hi andie! i heard that you are acting in a channel 5 show called fighting spiders! what do you play? how is filming? - posted by judi on 1/5/2009 9:07:15 AM Andie: Hey Judi! You are right! Fighting Spiders will be airing 7th April on Channel 5! I play Tony Lee, a 21 year old boy who is forced to join a gang to pay for his mother's medical fees. It's a drama about coming of age and making choices. I'm having a lot of fun, though it has been really tedious. Watch out for the love triangles and gun fight sequences. Fighting Spiders is like nothing you have seen before, watch it!
See all the questions for Andie!
