Thank you for your questions to Vincent Ng. Below are his replies to 10 selected questions.

1. Do you like the role of Zhengde and how do you prepare for it?

Vincent: I really like the role of Zhengde in “Mighty In-Laws.” Not only because
it is different from the other roles I have done, but also because of the
transition and development in in the character. Zhengde morphs from a
scaredy cat little tortoise into a brave young lad who will go all out to
protect his loved one. In the beginning, I just have to bring out the coward
in me. I believe that everyone has at least 2 sides. Some are latent and
some are explicit. I have to manage the transition of the character
throughout the series and that is what is challenging. I tried to change a
little episode by episode. Hope that the audience will buy it.

2. How is it like working with Rui En?

Vincent: It was enjoyable working with Rui En. She is hardworking and very bubbly.
On the set, her vivacious laughter when she hears the jokes of others is
something I remember. Also sometimes she sings to entertain us on set.

3. why do you like wushu?

Vincent:
Wushu is a sport set in a rich backdrop of history and culture. A serious
practitioner will be able to build up his/her character as well as fitness.
I also like the combination of grace and power in wushu. This is quite
unique to wushu as not all sports provide this well rounded training. The
adrenaline rush I got whenever I mastered a new move, stunt or stance was
also something that I relished. I would love to spread and share this joy to
others. Anyone interested to join me can call 6350 3550 or log on to
www.mediacorpstudios.com/wushu for more information.

4. Who do you like to act with if given the chance?

Vincent:
There are lots of actors/actresses that I really want to work with as I
believe that I can learn many different things from many people. But at the
moment, if I were to mention someone, it would be Stephen Chow. He s a
trendsetter and I admire him for his talent and foresight of the industry.
He is able to bring out the drama and comedy from the most ordinary of
everyday circumstances and to me that is a great skill. He is also an avid
practitioner of wushu.

6. What are your upcoming shows?

Vincent: I am currently involved in a 8-episode Chinese comedy, entitled Lu Se Guo
Shi. In it, I play a loafer with a rich background but eventually learns to
stand on his own feet. He even saves his parents' company. After this, I
will be involved in Heartlanders 4 in March/April. Looking forward to that
too.

7. Do you like acting or wushu more?

Vincent: Actually, I enjoy both wushu and acting as much. In act my job now
requires me to do both and so I am not complaining J Acting can give me the
satisfaction of experiencing all the various emotions that I would not have
otherwise. Wushu teaches me discipline and helps to keep me fit, both
physically and mentally, for my job. Most of all, I can spread wushu through
my job as well.

8. Do you have a girlfriend? What qualities do you see in a girl?

Vincent: Currently I am not seeing anyone. I am still looking for and waiting for
my ideal girl to appear. No special requirements though. To me, the
chemistry between me and the girl is very important. If she is right for me,
I will know it.

9. Who is your best buddies in Mediacorp?

Vincent:
I hang out with quite a number of colleagues from Mediacorp. Normally we
will go out for supper after work or meet up for coffee. But my best buddies
are people out of the industry: people from my childhood, people from my
army days, other sportsmen, and buddies from wushu.

10. What is your email address?

Vincent: wushu007@hotmail.com Please feel free to email me anytime. I may not have the time to reply everyday, but I promise I will reply.
